Welcome to Sapphire class!

In Sapphire Class, we aim to provide a broad and balanced curriculum that is stimulating and challenging. We support children to develop the knowledge, skills and understanding needed to enable them to enjoy learning and achieve success. We strive to develop a positive learning environment where children feel safe, happy and confident to take on challenges. Our aim is to help our children to grow into kind and compassionate young people who have a desire to work hard to reach their full potential. Our learning journey...

This term, our curriculum commission is to work as food developers. We will be using the skills that we have learnt to design and make a chocolate based product. In geography, we will be learning about trade and the distribution of the cocoa bean. In history, we will be learning about the ancient Maya.

This term, we will be exploring the texts, 'The Rain Player' by David Wisniewski and 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' by Roald Dahl. Our writing learning journeys will provide us with the opportunity to write a non-chronological report, an informal letter and a poem.
