We are passionate about pupil voice and impact at Clanfield School.
Leaders become great, not because of their power, but but their ability to empower others.
By exposing our children to debate and to leadership positions in years 5and 6, we encourage our children to flourish as individuals whilst acknowledging difference of opinion and experience.
Our ICT technicians support the School's computing offer through maintenance and problem-solving in School as well as sorting out the technology in use across the School.
Maintain the various libraries and book collections across the School.
Are the voice for pupils who may experience difficulties for a number of reasons. Sit on School council and work with the headteacher to address any challenges.
House Captains and Deputies
Contribute to the leadership of the house system and house competition. They support the staff in any jobs which need to be done, such as selling poppies. On a rota, they write a fortnightly piece for the newsletter.
Head Boy and Head Girl
Support the Head Teacher in the strategic and operational running of the School and act as role models for the other children in School. They are also responsible for writing the School's contribution to the Clanfield What.
Support effective and positive play by creating opportunities on the playground, maintaining the play equipment and taking the lead on being pro-actively friendly.
Whole School Opportunities
One child is elected by their peers each year to represent their class at termly School Council meetings. The children take part in a range of opportunities to improve their school. In 2020-21 we spread some Christmas cheer into the community by sending out HEARTS INTO HOMES.
In line with our desire to be increasingly aligned with the environmental agenda, we are working wto make our School more environmentally aware. Two children from each year group will be involved in the club which, to date, has introduced Terra Cycling and raised awareness of correct recycling across the School. Looking ahead, the School is committing to becoming Net 0 by 2030!
We have formed a new Worship Warriors committee in our school. 6 children across Year 1 to 6 are now planning, leading and evaluating collective worship each week. How exciting is that!
