Clanfield CE Primary School’s Governing Board is made up of 11 Governors. The term of office for each Governor is four years, with the exception of the Headteacher who always has a place on the governing board.
Governors carry out most of their work at committee meetings. The most important of these is the full Governing Board, which meets at least once a term and includes every governor who is able to attend.

I am married to Rosemary and we have two married sons and four grandchildren. One son lives in London, the other in Cambridge. We live in Clanfield, Rosemary works for the NHS.
I am a chartered engineer and worked for thirty years in the corporate sector, principally in building materials manufacture and then rail infrastructure maintenance. I then made a move into the charity sector, helping a Christian charity grow from its Oxford base to eleven countries across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. As a qualified coach, I now work part time with the charity and I am also director of The Bridge Partnership, a coaching and consultancy practice. We support leaders and organisations in seasons of change to help build bridges to safely navigate difficult transitions. I enjoy reading, cars and gym work-outs and still aspire to complete a half-marathon!

Mrs Nicola Cooper - Parent Governor
(Picture to follow) I have recently joined the Governors Board as a parent Governor as my daughter is now in reception. I currently own the bakery-café in Clanfield and have close links with the community having grown up in the village myself and also attended the school.
Prior to this I worked as a Dietitian in the NHS for ten years, most recently working with children and young people, where I lead a Child Weight Management Service for school aged children. This involved leading the specialist nutritional care of both overweight children, and those with severe eating disorders requiring hospitalisation.
I then spent three years working as a Senior University Lecturer in Dietetics where I developed my teaching and research skills, acquiring a real interest in pedagogy.
I look forward to developing my skills further and contributing to the board during this term, and am very grateful for the opportunity to have an input into this important function.
